Strange meeting

After weeks of online conversations and a few phone calls, we decided to meet a couple we had been chatting with. Arriving early at the restaurant, my partner and I sipped coffee while waiting. They arrived about thirty minutes late, clad in dark sunglasses and overcoats, which they kept on even after sitting down, making them look oddly out of place in the dimly lit cafe.

Before we could order dinner, the woman stood up abruptly, whispered something to her partner, and left the table momentarily. Returning in less than a minute, she whispered again to him. He then stood, thanked us for the drinks, and oddly covered his face with his coat, mentioning they had "some problems" but hoped to meet again. They left swiftly, followed by a man who had been observing from a distance. My partner and I were left puzzled, trying to make sense of the brief encounter. Attempts to contact them again were futile; their phone number had been disconnected.

Encounter with the Younger Couple

Some time later, we were approached by a significantly younger couple, something we usually avoided due to the generational gap. They invited us to their home. The conversation was lopsided; the woman was noticeably quiet and appeared quite young, possibly between 16 and 19, which made me uneasy. The man, claiming they were both 21, pushed boundaries by asking if Bev was into women. Bev firmly reiterated her preference for men only, as stated on our profile and during our phone conversations. The man then shockingly suggested that I could simply tell her to change her preference, to which I responded with a definitive no, emphasizing that I couldn't compel Bev to act against her will any more than I could perform impossible feats.

Our next odd encounter was with a man posing as a couple. He had asked to meet, expecting that his non-existent girlfriend would join if we agreed to swing. As dinner proceeded without her appearance, it became clear there was no girlfriend. He seemed to believe that Bev would be so enamored by him that she would persuade me into a threesome. Bev, unimpressed, sarcastically remarked on her attraction to liars and uttered our safe word. We promptly paid for our meal and left, leaving him alone at the table.
