Due to Google Play and Apple store rules, public and shared albums may not contain sexually explicit images if we want to get our app, in development, ready to meet the requirement.

Please help your SwingTowns community get ready by taking a moment to move any of your sexually explicit images in your public album to your private album.

If you’ve already done this, thank you for helping your community 🙂

Sincerely,
SwingTowns Team

Guidelines from the Google Play Store

We don’t allow apps that contain or promote sexually explicit content, such as pornography. In general, we don’t allow content intended to be sexually gratifying.
Here are some examples of common violations:

  • Depictions of sex acts or sexually suggestive poses.
  • Promotional images of sex toys.
  • Promoting sexually explicit user-generated content.
  • Content that depicts, describes, or encourages bestiality.

Restrictions from the Apple Store

Pornography

  • Apps containing pornographic material, defined by Webster’s Dictionary as “explicit descriptions or displays of sexual organs or activities intended to stimulate erotic rather than aesthetic or emotional feelings”, will be rejected
  • Apps that contain user generated content that is frequently pornographic (e.g. “Chat Roulette” Apps) will be rejected

Hi. I'd like to bring up a topic for discussion/consideration. I've noticed there are quite a few shirtless photos of men that are considered to be PG, while shirtless photos of women tend to be rated R. (I noticed this because if I rate a shirtless man as R my accuracy goes down, and likewise if I rate a shirtless woman as PG). Now I do realize that Apple and other developers have some strict guidelines when it come to nudity on their products, but given the shift both legally and socially (at least in Canada) for women to go topless, wouldn't it make more sense to rate topless pics of both men and women equally either PG, R, or X, just as long as there's no gender bias)? Just a thought :)

Yes! We absolutely agree with you! Sadly, Google and Apple do not. :(

We joined this site because it was private and members only. We do not want our profile to be available to anyone who wants to download an app.

The app will be just as private as the site. Only members will be able to use the app and view your profile. As always, our members' privacy is our highest priority.

Can you please define exactly what is or isn't considered hardcore please? To many times sites like these ask you to do something like this and then do not give you any further instructions. Or further guidance. Please do so; so that we are all aware of what's acceptable.

We have added the exact guidelines from each store to the article. Hope that helps.
